Happy Thanksgiving!!!!

We are finally in California. After driving 9 hrs today , (actually Denver drove most of it, did really good) from Medford, Or to Tulare, Ca, we finally arrived at my Dad's house for late Thanksgiving. THE FOOD WAS GREAT! Apparently they had Thanksgiving at 10:30am! It was done, so they decided to eat! We just reheated, and it was still very good. Good job, Nanny and Grandpa! We had a good laugh remembering the Thanksgiving that Linda cooked the turkey with the "innard" bag still inside, the year she opted for pizza, and now the Thanksgiving dinner/brunch. With my grandpa (he's 88) and Linda's Dad (a little younger but in pretty poor health) living with them, the schedule is way more flexible. Bless their hearts, they are incredibly patient with these two guys, their failing memories, hearing aids, and slowed gait. They really have shown so much love and patience, I am very impressed. Dad and Denver were the comedians today for sure. Here are Kassi, Linda, Denver, and Dad,...
It was a really good visit. Holly (Linda's daughter, my stepsister) came by with her sons,..Darian has grown so much. He is 14, and 6ft 3 inches. I wouldn't have even recognized him. What happened to that chunky, little boy?...
And Davis is 5, not a baby anymore, but still keeping Holly and Nanny very busy!!!! Nanny and Davis below...
And Denver , Grandpa Buck, and Kassi..... it was so good to see him. He is just such a sweetheart, so lovey, and dear. We love you Grandpa Buck!

Some of our friends from church invited Mark to a Thanksgiving Afghani style. They are sponsoring a family from Afghanistan in their home and they cooked their cultural food. It was very nice of them to include Mark today,..I had left him a chicken pot pie. Hey, it was from Marie Calendars though! Speaking of, we are now back in the land of In and Out Burgers,..Sonic Limeade with Strawberries, and Marie Calendars Sour Cream Raisin Pie! I am not sure we can make it to all these before we return to the Northwest, but we have missed these California treats. We are very thankful today, for each other and all are blessings, and are prayerfully remembering our friends in India after all the deaths that occurred the last few days in Mumbai. We are reminded of how grateful we are to be in this country!
